Arctic Science Interests

Primary activities are in the development and use of fully coupled ocean-ice-atmosphere-land models for use in the study of climate variability and change. Of particular interest are decadal and longer scale interactions between the North Atlantic and Arctic, including the thermohaline circulation. Substantial emphasis is placed on the interplay between natural variability and human-induced climate change.
